Mansoor Al-Jamri is the principal founder, Editor-in-Chief & columnist at the Al-Wasat Daily Newspaper in Bahrain (www.alwasatnews.com).

Since 2002, he has been responsible for activities needed for establishing and leading the newspaper's capabilities. He also writes columns in Arabic, as well as contributing articles in both Arabic and English that appear regularly in various publications.

From 1999 to 2001, he worked as an engineering manager at SGS Limited of the United Kingdom.

From 1990 to 1999, he worked as a mechanical engineer, a Design Manager and then a Business Process Manager at BOC Process Plants (U.K.).

He has MSc in Management from Bristol University, UK (1998), PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Paisley University, UK (1992), MSc in Pressure Vessel Design from Paisley (1988) and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Paisley (1987).

He is a UK-registered Chartered Engineer.

He is also the recipient of the CPJ International Press Freedom Award 2011 (USA), and the "Peace through Media Award 2012 (UK)"

He is the author of the following books (in Arabic):Memories of childhood (2007) and Interventions on thought and politics (2008), Concepts in Management & Leadership (2016), Principled Leadership in Management & Development (2017).
